I open the nameplate sample job that comes with Cut2D. I've checked the serial settings which are the same as the PC (defaults). I've gone through the XY/Z setting process to get it to go to the front left-hand corner (the same as the origin in my drawing). Serial 9 pin (sold as a crossover) cable from COM1 to the serial 25 pin on the engraver. I have already installed the PNC 2300 driver on the Win XP PC. So I've downloaded the trial version and installed it. I'm looking for a suitable engraving application to use with it and thought Cut2D would be a good choice. I've bought an old but in good condition Roland PNC 2300 engraving machine.
